I never imagined I’d one day work in the creative industry. As a teenager, I discovered my love for making and fixing things, which evolved into a passion for cars. At 17 I decided to leave high school and pursue a career in the automotive world.
After nearly seven years in the field, I found a new passion—photography and filmmaking. Inspired to make a change, I left the automotive industry and began freelancing and assisting other photographers. To build my skills, I studied at AFTRS and completed additional courses to deepen my knowledge.
My first step into the professional creative world was an internship at The Haus, where I learned how to manage campaigns from concept to completion. I worked on some iconic brands including Activision, Blizzard, Red Cross, Tinder. It was there I learned to work quickly, collaborating with other creatives, and finding resourceful solutions.
I continued refining my craft and soon landed a role at Australia’s #1 Independent Social Media Content Marketing Agency. I led projects from start to finish, creating compelling visuals for renowned brands like Volkswagen, Ferrari, Hublot, and IWC. After three years, I advanced to a senior role, where I took ownership of Volkswagen Australia's social media and OOH campaigns, overseeing everything from creative direction to execution.
As I took on larger projects both here at home in Sydney, interstate and across the pond in London. I led initiatives to upskill team members, fostering growth and elevating creative standards. With company mergers expanding our client base, I embraced even more complex productions, working with larger crews, lighting bigger setups, and creating workflows for multi-spec advertising campaigns.
This journey has sharpened my skills as a cinematographer, giving me the opportunity to work closely with clients, creative directors, and art directors to bring ideas to life.
